The University of St. Francis, a Catholic, Franciscan institution in Joliet, Illinois invites applications for a Director of Undergraduate Admissions at our main campus in Joliet. Applications will be accepted until May 10, 2012 or until the position is filled. The start date for this position is July 1, 2012.

USF offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs serving traditional-aged and adult students through a variety of learning formats. The university is located in a residential neighborhood about 35 miles southwest of Chicago, and offers excellent recreational opportunities with access to the rich resources of the Chicago area.

Hours/Shift/Work Schedule:
This a full-time exempt position, minimum of 40 hours per week with regular, evening, and some weekends required.

Responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment and admissions strategies to meet quality and quantity standards for new undergraduate student populations including freshman and transfer students. The director is a member of the Admissions & Enrollment Services team that includes such resources as marketing & publications, communication plan management, call center, application processing and technology available to assist and support the director.


Bachelor's Degree in related field
Demonstrated experience in college admissions at the associate or assistant level
Ability to interact and work successfully with other university personnel, parents, students, alumni, high school / community college faculty and counselors
Proven leadership skills in team management, motivation, and training
Strong organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with computer applications - WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and e-communications
Evening, weekend work and travel required
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university Preferred:
Experience as a director of admissions
Successful record of achieving enrollment growth
Master's degree
