The Master Scheduler is accountable for scheduling the delivery of engines to meet customer requirements. This person creates and maintains all capacity plans and evaluates the necessary resources (equipment, material, and manpower). You will communicate and coordinate the activities with all programs and material management and will highlight the constraints.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the long range planning including OPB review and quarterly reviews
Integrates the activities of all operations functions / assets so as to optimize process efficiency, maximize available capacity and satisfy customer requirements
Directs operational resources and processes accountable for capacity and resource planning, scheduling and control and performance measurement and analysis
Translates customer, program management and corporate objectives into specific plans, programs, schedules and performance requirements for all operations functions
Accountable for master slot, induction and re-manufacturing schedules used internally and externally
Coordinates the timely delivery of engines, modules and piece parts consistent with customer TRT requirements
Provides master scheduling requirements and performance oversight for component repair (part mix, timing and flow at the piece part level)
Directs organizational activities to achieve industry competitive engine re-manufacturing cost structures for all engine families
Specific Responsibilities:
Directs the translation of program, technical and contractual requirements into work volumes for each engine line and works with these organizations to define and control work-scope for each engine and module visit
Directs the formulation and implementation of policies, programs and systems which control the utilization of all repair and manufacturing resources so as to assure optimum product quality, productivity and optimum output at the least total cost
Administers the induction of engines into the repair and overhaul process
Directs the use of data analysis techniques to develop production strategies to optimize process efficiency
Works with engineering and program management to define engine and module set values (labor and material content) as well as cycle time goals
Develops and implements production schedules for all elements of the work process based on production specifications generated by Rolls-Royce Program management
Directs the prioritization of resources assigned to operations by scheduling and controlling the flow of parts and manpower between engine product lines and component repair
Directs the development and implementation of specific performance expectations for all engine lines and component repair centers
Measures overall performance metrics of TRT and cost and takes appropriate steps to assure corrective actions are taken
Establishes appropriate business management systems to fix accountability and report shop floor effectiveness for quality, cycle time and unit cost
Provides leadership in the development and implementation of more efficient process flow structures, new production techniques and information management functionality
Directs the implementation of plans/programs which promote employee ownership of their functional responsibilities
Establishes processes and management disciplines to assure planning and scheduling assumptions are continuously updated to reflect current business requirements and operations capabilities
Creates strong management team and maintains organization effectiveness through formalized training and succession planning programs
Coordinates the development of expense/capital plans in support of department and financial requirement and routinely measures operations performance against plan and reports progress
Directs the development and implementation of training programs to maximize efficiency and contribution of all employees

Qualifications and experience
Basic:
BS degree in Operation Management, Business or Industrial Engineering with 9+ years relevant experience, or an MS degree with 7+ years relevant experience
ERP/CRP experience
Lean Six sigma training/knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Strong Leadership & Interpersonal skills
Preferred:
12 years relevant experience
Repair and Overhaul industry experience
Aero or Gas Turbine engine industry experience
Manufacturing experience
One-off / Custom Manufacturing
APICS training
CPIM certification
SAP or SQL Data Base knowledge
