This Senior Analyst role is critical to supporting the execution and analysis of primary quantitative research projects such as brand equity and ad tracking, customer satisfaction/loyalty tracking, market segmentation and analysis, conjoint and trade-off studies as well as pricing studies and new product/service testing. General responsibilities include sample preparation and management, programming, data management, vendor oversight, tabulation and quality control.
Collaborate with project teams to design and execute survey instruments, weighting and sampling schemes as well as to plan and execute univariate, crosstabular and multivariate analyses.
Manipulate and manage small to very large quantitative datasets including but not limited to merging, matching, rotating and de-rotating as well as pulling of representative and/or stratified samples and creation of new variables using complex logic.
Program cross tabulations (i.e., banner runs) using SPSS and Wincross, or other software tools as needed.
Program CATI and web-based survey and verify logic and skip patterns.
Work closely with project teams and/or vendors to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and data integrity.
Select the tools and develop quality control procedures that will ensure the quality and consistency of the data environment.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure analysis and coding that supports concise, compelling and high impact PowerPoint presentations for clients.
Oversee a team of 2-3 data analysts, providing mentoring, training and other growth opportunities for the group.
5+ years of data manipulation experience in a marketing research environment.
Solid understanding of quantitative research techniques and methodologies and demonstrated data analysis experience.
Advanced knowledge and experience with SPSS or SAS. Experience or familiarity in Wincross is also preferred.
Organizational and project management skills and experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously. Prior vendor sourcing and management experience.
Ability to develop highly professional client deliverable with exceptional attention to detail.
Prior experience with web survey design tools, such as ConfirmIT.
Well-developed analytic and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
MS degree in marketing, business math, science or related field.
