This is a full-time position in the Office of Safety & Security. It is responsible for providing information and communications to the general campus community, on-duty security personnel, and the general public. The duty hours are Midnight to 8AM Thursday and Friday, and 4PM to midnight on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The areas of responsibilities include:

Receiving telephone complaints requiring security personnel response, including emergency lines, operating a base radio station to communicate with security officers, and documentation of the requests and communications with the officers.

Providing University telephone answering service, telephone directory assistance, providing information concerning University activities.

Processing parking citations and computer data entry and retrieval.

Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Applicants must be able to work holidays. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to provide clear, intelligible responses to callers. The ability to handle stressful situations is essential. The ability to learn the proper use of telephone and base radio and above average computer skills is necessary.
