JOB DESCRIPTION Supervise team members who perform accounting & reporting responsibilities Review/reconcile all taxes to ensure local compliance Review existing policies and procedures and implement efficiency and accuracy improvements Review procedures and controls to ensure compliance with all internal control requirements Review and approve work of other team members such as workpapers and reporting Independently manage special projects as assigned Ensure cross training within team Manage projects as assigned Prepare monthly journal entries and workpapers for assigned areas Support other Corporate Services departments as needed and ensure compliance with local laws & accounting/tax requirements Assist in the reconciliation of statutory financial statements to US GAAP

Required Skills:
JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Minimum of 7 –10 years of Accounting experience Fluent in both Portuguese and English Excellent understanding of Brazil and US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards Excellent understanding of Brazilian taxes (ISS, COFINS, PIS, IRRF, IRPJ, CSLL, etc) Ability to implement process improvements to ensure efficiency & excellent customer service Ability to provide clear instruction to team and ensure compliance of policies & procedures Ensure appropriate team coverage of responsibilities Excellent ability to ensure tight deadlines are met by team and ensure SLA's are met to our internal customers Strong Ability to work with various groups to ensure complete information is provided to team and ensure policies are followed Excellent Ability to manage multiple tasks involved in the day-to-day operation and scheduling of the team ADDITIONAL DETAILS
