Job Title: Office Technician 3
Department: Nutrition Services
Accountability: Reports to the Director of Nutrition Services
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services, to be responsible for confidential personnel information including data entry, staffing reports, paperwork concerning personnel actions, payroll data and assistance with financial reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintains personnel records for Nutrition Services.
a. Maintains personnel data in a database. Generates reports as requested.
b. Prepares staffing rosters by site, attendance reports and other reports for supervisors.
c. Completes personnel request actions, transfers, termination and rehire forms. Posts vacant positions.
d. Prepares uniform vouchers and processes uniform vendor billing.
e. Processes administrative/clerical/drivers payroll data, prorates benefits and enters in expenditures monthly file.
f. Calculates labor costs including fringe benefits by site. Prepares monthly reports.
g. Prepares and maintains confidential correspondence and documentation regarding personnel actions.
h. Assists with the hiring process of Nutrition Services personnel.
2. Maintains food safety training information and submits information to department staff and to the state.
3. Maintains files with documentation of product sampling and labels.
4. Assists with processes related to inventory stock numbers.
5. Assists with Child Nutrition Program Benefits processes.
6. Functions as a member of the Nutrition Services office team, assisting other members of the team as needed.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
Occasional lifting 1-10 pounds; limited lifting 11-50 pounds.
Occasional carrying 1-10 pounds; limited carrying 11-50 pounds.
Limited pushing/pulling 1-10 pounds.
Fine finger manipulation and keyboarding required for computer work.
Flexible schedule needed to meet deadlines.
Regular attendance required to meet the demands of the position and for effective teamwork.
Some overtime required.
Works in standard office environment.

High school diploma required.
Business or accounting experience or related education required.
Experience with district accounting and Human Resources software preferred.
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Word, Excel and Access) required.
