Employee is responsible for receiving, prioritizing and dispatching calls for Emergency Services via emergency and non-emergency phone lines; interrogating callers for pertinent details of event; entering accurate and concise data utilizing CAD system, alert tones, pagers, and radio notification. Ensures timely relay of information on the nature of call, location information and additional instructions via radio directly to units responding, while simultaneously tracking response times, unit status updates, and notes. Act as first line supervisor for Communication Center. Ensures employees continually perform at expected levels and provides high quality service to the Communication Center.
REQUIRED: 3 years experence or greater in Emergency Communications / Medical Dispatch. High school graduate and Complete Pre-employment exam and panel interviews. 3 years experence or greater in Emergency Communications / Medical Dispatch. Currently posses Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) or must be obtained within six (6) months of position assignment.
