Our History: Founded in 1985 with three associates, WellCare grew to more than 800 associates and 467,000 members in Florida, New York and Connecticut by 2002. In 2004, the company acquired Harmony to enter the Midwest and became publicly traded. By 2006, WellCare served 2.2 million members as it became a national prescription drug plan provider and the largest Medicaid plan in Georgia. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information systems or information technology or directly related field or equivalent work experience is required.
Expert level knowledge in supporting enterprise applications hosted on Sun Solaris, SUSE, AIX, Red Hat, or other Linux distribution as demonstrated by no less than 5 years experience working in Information Technology supporting production Unix / Linux systems and administration with responsibilities to include the following:
o Application implementation, configuration, performance, tuning, administration, and support
o Creating, documenting, and implementing standards and automation in a Unix / Linux environment
o Standard Certifications
- More than one certification or advanced certifications are preferred:
o Advanced Certifications
- Solaris Administrator
- SUSE or Red Hat Administrator
- Linux +
- SAN design certifications
- Advanced version of the certifications above
