PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The role of the Reporting Specialist is to provide high level
technical and subject matter expertise for statistical and financial
functions that result in the accurate production and dissemination of
reports and performance information. As part of this role, the
Specialist will be responsible for special projects, system applications
and lend subject matter expertise to various projects or systems
initiatives.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides reporting and metrics support for the Enterprise
Publishing department which includes generating, analyzing and
distributing reports regarding volumes, cost and resources to assist
management and internal clients when making informed business decisions.
Utilizes subject matter expertise to improve current processes and meet
changing data needs as defined by customer needs.
Through in depth analysis, identifies, recommends and develops
significant, measurable process improvements to generate efficiencies,
reduce operational risk, reduce operational costs, and increase levels
of customer service through faster delivery and higher accuracy. Works
with other business units to gather requirements, design and develop
complex reports for use within the group and by cross-functional
teams.
Develops, analyzes, prepares and communicates forecasting
projections to track variances between budget cycles. Serves as a budget
specialist performing day-to-day control and management involving the
formulation, execution, and/or analysis of the organization's budget and
funding requirements.
Completes various operational presentations. Coordinates the
collection of information, identifies key trends, summarizes information
and presents to Ent Pub management and staff in a concise and
professional format.
Continuously seeks to expand knowledge of Enterprise Publishing
operation, metrics and reporting to create efficiencies and/or mitigate
risk via people/process/technology changes for the business.
