Sr. Systems Administrator
Silicon Valley Bank - Santa Clara, CA
Respond to system issues related to file servers, email and backup systems.
* Assist in facilitating datacenter activities such as system upgrades and hardware provisioning.
* Responsible for ensuring that all hardware located in our Datacenters is working at all times. This includes identifying, creating and implementing solutions when issues arise.
* Maintains the storage area networks including replacing damaged discs and correcting controller failures.
* Provides production support to the information services group on software applications including Websphere and Oracle.
* Provides help desk support directly to clients related to business
applications.
* Provide support, and implementation of security policies, compliance, and best practices.
* Train other technology staff members on system upgrades and rollouts.
* Prioritize workload and escalate any technical emergencies to the IT Manager.
* Identify, solve or escalate technical problems identified by clients or internal staff related to business.

Must have the following:
* Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
* 2+ years Cisco UCS experience
* 5+ years TCP/IP Networking Experience
* 3+ years RedHat Enterprise Linux 3/4/5
* 5+ years Windows Server 2003/2008
* 2+ Years SAN administration
* 2+ years VMware ESX experience
* 2+ years experience with WebLogic
* 5+ years experience with Citrix

EXPERIENCE WITH THESE TECHNOLOGIES A PLUS:
* Comvault
* Shavlik patch management
* Exposure to PCI DSS, and SAS70 compliance
* Bash, Perl, Python scripting experience
* Monitoring Systems
* Cisco (IOS/CatOS/PixOS)
