We are looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator.

Responsibilities:
Manage a Linux-based ecommerce environment with 1500+ servers

Work with developers to architect and enhance applications

Monitor system performance and plan for future capacity and scaling

Participate in an on-call rotation

Skills and abilities you should bring to the table:
10+ years of UNIX/Linux system administration experience

5+ years supporting highly available, customer-facing services in a 100+ server environment

Extensive experience with Apache, Memcache, Tomcat, and other open source web server software

Basic familiarity with Java/JVM and relational databases (MySQL preferred)

In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals

Experience configuring hardware load balancers (F5 preferred)

Proficiency writing shell and/or Perl scripts

Excellent communication and project execution skills

Nice-to-have experience:
Ubuntu/Debian experience

NAS experience (Network Appliance preferred)

Operational familiarity with CFEngine

Virtualization experience (Xen preferred)

Python and PHP programming
