Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs with Common Electrical Electronic Data System (CEEDS) and release with Product Data Manager (PDM)/Teamcenter Engineering (TcE). Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas). Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Works under general direction.

Able to apply a complete understanding of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to build and manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files).

Complete knowledge of and ability to use and interpret drawings, data systems and models associated with supported systems/platforms.

[ + ] Wiring Integration Design

Skill and ability to apply complete knowledge of electrical engineering and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, integrate, and validate solutions for wire harness and interconnect systems.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have experience designing wiring harnesses with Common Electrical Electronic Data System (CEEDS)?

Do you have liaison experience coordinating wiring design and installation issues with Production and Engineering Flight Test?

Do you have experience using Product Data Manager (PDM)/Teamcenter Engineering (TcE)?

Do you have experience designing and developing aviation wiring interconnect drawings and harnesses, including defining all parts required for wire/connector terminations?

Typical Education/Experience

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
