Frazier Rehab Institute (FRI) is a comprehensive rehabilitation system with more than 20 locations throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana, providing therapy in acute care settings for inpatient and outpatient rehab needs. Comprehensive rehab programs, highly skilled therapists, state-of-the-art-facilities and innovative therapeutic techniques have earned Frazier Rehab Institute national recognition. Patients span the age range from infancy to geriatrics with a wide variety of diagnoses which include neurologic (spinal cord injury, brain injury and stroke), amputations, multiple trauma, orthopaedic, arthritis, cardiopulmonary, congenital, developmental, degenerative, and general medical cases.
The Rehab Aide assumes a support role in the delivery of therapy services. The aide will prepare the department for patient treatment, i.e. responsible for the proper cleaning of equipment and maintaining adequate stock levels in treatment areas. The aide will also prepare the patient for treatment as well as, providing assistance to the therapist as needed in patient treatment programs. The aide may also be responsible for administering treatment programs under the verbal, visual or manual supervision of the Physical Therapist and/or Physicia1 Therapist’s Assistant.
Six months experience in a health care facility preferred.
Good communication skills are helpful, good time management skills.
High school diploma or GED. New graduates accepted in this position.
