The challenge? Help save and protect the one and only Earth we have. Our Project Controls Manager position provides you with an opportunity to manage project controls specialists and institute and maintains the project controls system of an organizational element or have the primary responsibility for project controls and manage the project controls team of a project. Each day you will be responsible to perform all aspects of project control activities, ensuring that project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements. You should be a self motivated professional with at least 8 years of experience in project controls or construction management; have a B.Sc. degree in Construction Management, Business, Accounting, Civil or Architectural; have experience performing project controls for consulting and/or construction companies, can calculate variance analysis of project cost and schedule performance; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Project Controls job.
Our Project Controls Managers :
Provide direction and expertise to project controls-related activities for projects within an office in support of the planning and execution of operational requirements.
Perform senior project controls specialist functions as required.
Represent project controls at office or project strategy coordination meetings.
Serve as the project controls representative for office reviews of business opportunities.
Plan and budget the project controls resources and systems necessary to support office operations or major domestic projects aligned to the office.
Establish and maintain effective training programs to develop staff in support of projects aligned to an office.
Understand business/industry trends and the implications for project controls functions.
Advocate and uphold enterprise and business group policies and procedures in the office and on projects. With the project controls team, comply with these procedures.
Effectively communicate with business group or regional project controls management, office management, and with clients on project controls issues.
Manage project controls resources and activities required to support the planning and execution of project controls for operations for an office, or provide these services for a large project/program.
Provide budget estimates for project controls labor hours in support of the proposal process.
Ensure that project controls is engaged in business development and proposal support activities for an office. Serve as the focal point for all matters relating to estimating, planning/scheduling, and cost control for office projects during the proposal process.
Evaluate contract requirements, identify risk areas, and recommend mitigation plans.
Develop and maintain risk register.
Create, implement, and execute project controls plan to support contract requirements and the successful execution of project controls.
Resolve issues and provide consistency between the cost control, planning/scheduling, and estimating functions and deliverables.
Develop and implement project-specific procedures in accordance with the enterprise or business group procedures.
Analyze and evaluate project status and recommend corrective actions.
