Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision of the physician, performs a variety of routine administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients
  • These duties include the greeting and escorting of patients to the exam room; taking medical histories; the measurement and recording of vital signs; preparing patients for examination/procedure; and assisting the physician during the examination/procedure
  • Demonstrates clinical competence
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience with Phlebotomy preferred
  • Experience giving immunizations and injections preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Manual dexterity required to complete performance of duties. Walks, stands, stoops, and may require some heavy lifting of patients and/or equipment. Works in a patient care setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases.
