Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska that produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC, operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitoba, that produces anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, UAN and urea. In addition, Koch Fertilizer, LLC owns storage and terminal assets in northwest Europe with trading offices in Switzerland, France and United Kingdom. Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC is seeking a Utilities Engineer
      for our Duncombe, Iowa Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
      • Managing the reliability efforts in the Utilities RC (Reliability Center)
      • Identifying and controlling risks to acceptable outcomes and identifying opportunities for increased reliability
      • Identifying needs for Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), lead/facilitate RCA’s. Track action item completion
      • Lead RC effort in developing capital and major expense spending plan proposals
      • Lead the support groups in solving various technical challenges that improve reliability of the equipment
      • Process maintenance work orders to provide solid scope for resolution of identifies risk or failure
      • Maintain a manageable backlog of work while ensuring proper work flow is followed
      • Own several small capital and expense projects – scope, plan, and execution
      • Field Engineer/Execution Coordinator
      • Coordinating large repair activities
      • Managing the Reliability Center MOC process
      • Turn-Around Scope Ownership
      • Maintain Reliability Data for Production Area
      • Review daily operating logs with reliability engineering group, to identify pareto of equipment reliability issues
      • Sharing of equipment knowledge and training of Operators/Maintenance
      Requirements:
      • Must be available to travel to other locations when needed
      • High level of integrity
      • Ability to deal with difficult issues in a timely manner
      • Comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices and ability to identify/mitigate process and personnel safety hazards
      • Ability to master maintenance work processes
      • High school diploma or GED
      • In absence of engineering degree a suitable combination of work experience and education may be considered
      Preferred:
      • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance and FMEA
      • 3+ years experience in chemical plant or refinery engineering in operations or maintenance group
      • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a leadership role
      • Works well under pressure and maintains composure when dealing with critical safety and environmental issues
      • Strong capabilities in maintenance craft or in-depth knowledge of craft practices due to extensive experience in a support role
      • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
