Information Assurance Engineer, Mid-01130220
Provide Information Assurance (IA) analysis, whitepapers, technical briefings, analyses of alternatives, evaluations, risk analysis, risk mitigation strategies, guidance, recommendations, training, and process improvement support to complement the government's technical and policy expertise in support of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Cyber Surety division. Provide assessment on the security posture and compliance of Air Force and Space systems, including national security systems, IA strategies, and associated plan of actions and milestones. Perform technical and administrative tests on systems to validate the security compliance and residual risk posture and suggest non-materiel solutions or recognized best practices for consideration to increase the security posture of Air Force and Space systems, as needed. Leverage approved toolsets, including Retina and Gold Disk to perform security testing and validation during test events. Provide strategic plan interface analysis, information assurance compliance analysis, certification and accreditation plans, information assurance vulnerability assessment methods, and technology program methodologies in support of the above initiatives, as needed.
Basic Qualifications: -5 years of experience with information assurance, engineering, or operational support to DoD supporting information operations, cyber operations, systems administration, systems security, or a similar field-Experience with a DoD C&A program, developing PO&M’s, SIP, or DIP through DIACAP
- Knowledge of complete security test events to evaluate IA compliance of a system against current STIGS through manual and automated methods in support of either Windows, UNIX, Database, Web-based, or network components
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, including DoD 8500.02, DoD 8510, or AFI 33-200-Secret clearance
- BA or BS degree
- Experience with AFSPC at the action officer or staff officer level
- DoD 8570 IAM/IAT III preferred
