Join our new Investment Services team! We're looking for ambitious, talented, sales professionals to serve as Financial Consultants. In this fast-paced position you will offer non-FDIC insured retail investment products from HomeStreet Bank branches serving Tacoma, Lakewood and Olympia areas. This is a commissioned sales position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Effectively interview and profile customers; recommend specific investments for clients and prospects based upon suitability.

Actively listen to clients and maintain a friendly, positive, professional attitude. Resolve difficult situations with creativity, tact and diplomacy.

Compile financial data on customer for suitability purposes.

Achieve monthly gross commission and production targets as set forth by Management.

Create and maintain customer files including all notes on client meetings.

Maintain and service customer accounts. Resolve customer problems that do not require registered principal intervention.

Maintain separate and distinct offices of HomeStreet Investment Services away from deposit taking areas of HomeStreet Bank branches in a clean and professional manner.

Conduct periodic cross-selling training for HomeStreet Bank branch staff. Train, coach, and mentor HomeStreet Bank branch staff that are part of the Licensed Banker Program.

Effectively partner with and attend HomeStreet Bank branch staff meetings and participate in branch activities.

Complete continuing education to maintain securities and insurance licenses in good standing. Comply with all rules of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and state insurance departments.

Comply with the policies and procedures of HomeStreet Investment Services and PrimeVest Financial Services.

Organize and conduct seminars on investment topics in the assigned branch territory.

Conduct joint business development meetings/efforts with Branch Managers and/or Lending Officers to call on local businesses.

Maintain an understanding and competency of products and services that will be offered to existing clients and prospects.

Cross-sell and refer clients to HomeStreet Bank as appropriate.

Assist HomeStreet Bank employees with their own investments when asked.

Participate in training programs as required by management.

Travel within an assigned territory of HomeStreet Bank branches as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Three or more years of previously demonstrated sales experience with proven results including diverse customer profiles and complex needs within the financial services industry.

BS/BA degree in business/management related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Must hold NASD Series 7 and Series 63/65 or 66 securities licenses. Must hold Hawaii state licenses for life, variable and health insurance.

Ability to identify and analyze client needs; present and recommend investment solutions and products. Recognize closing opportunities and retain and grow customer relationships.

Excellent communication skills, including phone, personal contact and written; ability to initiate customer contact through letters, email, telephone or personal contact.

Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to encourage open communication by listening attentively and actively.

Ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to work quickly and accurately, to analyze information and make decisions.

Excellent multi-tasking organization skills. Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.

Strong ability, desire and enjoyment in working with others as part of a team as well as work independently.

Desire to serve and act in the best interest of the client.

Possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.

Good at problem solving, researching, and decision making.

Must be a self-starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities.

Knowledge of personal computers and MS Office software required.

Able to accept and facilitate change whether indicated by corporate needs, market, or regulatory requirements.

A valid driver's license, working vehicle and auto liability insurance are required.
