Performs a variety of food service utility functions including stocking all cafeteria stations, assisting patients with menu selection, sanitizing all food service areas and equipment, assisting in food preparation, and stocking all food service areas. The incumbents in the position of Food Service Worker may be assigned specifically to one area or set of duties as directed by the reporting supervisor.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions
Exposed to hazards of steam and heat
Exposed to varying degrees of kitchen elements
Subject to burns and cuts

Physical Requirements
Frequent prolonged standing/walking
Good visual acuity
Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 35 lbs)
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Special Skills
Knowledge of Basic Customer Service Skills, Good Verbal Communication, Reading and Writing
