About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Director, Administrative Systems, this position manages the day-to-day operations of our Application Support Specialists who provide training, helpdesk support, documentation, and levels 1 and 2 support on enterprise-wide systems on campus including PeopleSoft Finance 9.0, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0, data warehouses, and additional locally developed and hosted systems.
Services provided include troubleshooting application issues, documentation development, training development and delivery, and testing of updates and patches to enterprise systems.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree is required. Two years of full-time experience managing or leading a help desk is also required. Experience must include managing a highly-skilled, independent staff, and performing and/or managing the following user support functions: documentation, training, application troubleshooting.
Experience managing employees in a collective bargaining environment and experience working with PeopleSoft HCM and/or Finance is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (preferred knowledge in PeopleSoft HCM and/or Finance)
Knowledge of other administrative systems like content management, identity management, portal, etc.
Knowledge of help desk environments and user support
Knowledge of adult learning methods
Knowledge of documentation practices and procedures
Ability to manage a diverse group of self-motivated professionals
Ability to coach and mentor staff as well as manage performance
Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing
Excellent problem-solving skills
Organizational skills, ability to coordinate with others on shared projects to achieve established objectives and to work independently
Ability to apply consultative skills to assess user needs and provide appropriate support
Ability to effectively participate in and assume leadership for tasks on large projects Posting Date
