The Curry Seeds Sales Agronomist shall assess new products to fit with customer needs in the Area. Develop and provide agronomic, product and service education to the field sales force that supports the sales and service of Curry seed associated technologies. Support the field sales force by working to resolve customer service calls. Provide product, agronomic and general crop production information through several mediums directly to customers. Be involved in demand creation of Curry seed. Support the field sales force training the technical departments of co-ops and retailers about product and technology positioning, crop management and customer complaints.

Duties/Responsibilities
Assess new products to fit with customer needs in the Area. Develop and provide agronomic, product and service education to the field sales force that supports the sales and service of Curry seed associated technologies. Support the field sales force by working to resolve customer service calls. Provide product, agronomic and general crop production information through several mediums directly to customers. Be involved in demand creation of Curry seed. Support the field sales force training the technical departments of co-ops and retailers about product and technology positioning, crop management and customer complaints

- Provide timely agronomy information to ASM’s, dealers and customers via Curry web site, bi-weekly newsletter updates, emails and phone calls

- Grower calls with ASM’s and dealers, provide agronomy advice to dealers and customers

*Spend 1 day a month with each ASM
*Have a good relationship with Platinum level dealers
*Have a good relationship with top 50 customers

- Assist with product advancement and evaluation, evaluate impact plots and research locations to provide input to product manager, be a part of the product advancement process

- Customer complaint calls, if ASM is unable to determine cause of product complaint, you will provide assistance

- Master plot tours and after harvest meetings – collaborate with product manager to present products and agronomic information at meeting

- 70% time in the field, 30% time in the office

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in required, preferably in an agronomic field. At least 5 years Agronomy experience is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of: Crop production/cultural practices. Curry Seed offerings and competitive product/service offerings; local ag markets; value chain and production practices ; Environmental, regulatory, and stewardship issues of Curry competitive products at the local/regional level. Company policies and procedures.

Demonstrated skills in: Teaching/training. Selling, negotiating, influencing and presenting. Conflict resolution and handling objections. Using computer hardware software/intranet to generate reports, territory plans, access Curry info and complete administrative duties. Collecting, interpreting & communicating product, market, customer data.

Demonstrated ability to: Build/maintain strong relationships with customers and key industry/market influencers. Work effectively within a team environment. Lead and influence projects and coach individuals in accomplishing defined objectives/goals. Understand the needs and values of partners and customers and develop solutions to satisfy/retain. Get results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles & finding creative solutions. Work independently with minimum supervision and operate within budget. Work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
