Support the company vision, as well as, mission statement and perform the strategies necessary to achieve them.

Effectively manage, recruit, train, coach, provide feedback and empower qualified personnel to provide the highest customer service possible.

Monitor progress on assignments, conduct performance appraisals, reward and discipline when appropriate and deliver effective job skills training.

Effectively meet P&L responsibilities, minimize labor expenses, achieve efficient store operations, recognize the cause of shrink and work effectively to control losses.

Manage ordering, inventory levels, scheduling, labor objectives, financial responsibilities and building a positive and synergetic team atmosphere.

Ensure proper and accurate receiving, correct transfer, prompt unloading and appropriate storage of merchandise.

Maintain high standards of store image by ensuring that the store is clean, well stocked and ready for business.

Develop positive relationships with team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.

Effectively increase sales and earnings through creative marketing efforts, successful execution of merchandising programs, excellent customer service, efficient operations management, great recruiting as well as excellent development and retention of skilled staff.

Ensure team and patron safety at all times and maintain the highest quality standards by ensuring that all corporate and state sanitation procedures and regulations are met and actively practiced.

Exhibit and maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.

Engage in conversation with customers to understand customer needs and the needs of the community in which the store is located.

Examine merchandise as needed to ensure that it is of optimum quality, in-stock, prepared to specifications, properly rotated, correctly priced and appropriately displayed.

Effectively implement corporate merchandising policies, procedures and programs and actively monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service as well as quality goods.

Manage and provide accurate management reports as required.

Job Requirements Possess a thorough knowledge and appreciation for wine, beer and gourmet food.

Have a strong desire to lead a team and be the primary point of contact for a store.

Be results oriented, performance driven, dedicated to the team player attitude, flexible enough to manage multiple tasks and effectively supervise the work of other associates.

Know and comply with company policy at all times and demonstrate an understanding of all federal, state or local laws dealing with the sale of all types of merchandise sold by store.

Possess a high energy personality with strong interpersonal and leadership skills to inspire, train and build a team.

Possess a customer comes first attitude to ensure all customer interactions with the store, leadership and staff exceed expectations.

Be able to effectively establish priorities, make independent decisions in the best interest of the company and direct team members to achieve expected results.

Enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.

Exhibit excellent presentation, meeting, planning, organizational and analytical skills as well as the ability to clearly, concisely and accurately communicate in order to ensure effective store operations.

Possess proficiency in Word, Excel and email as well as the ability to learn the company's applications and technology as needed.

Enjoy mentoring others, building confidence and developing collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.

Exercise discretion while communicating and providing direction to others and be tactful, sensitive, sensible, courteous and professional when working with all business partners including but not limited to customers, employees, managers, distributor/winery/importer representatives,

Be in adequate physical conditioning for repetitive movements that are required, including but not limited to, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, pulling, pushing, stretching, twisting, reaching, grasping or standing for prolonged periods of time.

Be groomed and dressed appropriately to deliver our brand experience.

Work varied shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Prior retail management experience and/or experience in alcohol and gourmet food sales strongly encouraged.

2 or 4 year degree in management, sales, or a similar field is strongly encouraged.
