Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Project Engineer
Job Description: Responsible for delivering I&C Engineering Solutions for construction projects. You will be interfacing and coordinating with contract design, construction, and estimating resources, and internal Intel organizations to enable facility design efforts for Instrumentation and Controls systems. You will also be responsible for managing the Intel and AE scope development resources. Efforts will include definition of design criteria, development of design concepts, completion of detailed design, development of project budgets, schedules, safety requirements, and facilitating project commissioning activities. Manages design output, design budgets, and performance management of the architectural and engineering vendor.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or equivalent, with seven or more years of related experience. Professional Registration is a plus. Understanding of the functionality of various industrial controls systems for facilities equipment. Demonstrated experience with review and interpretation of P&IDs, construction drawings and specifications. Effective at managing design, construction, and startup of control systems for facilities equipment.
Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to work effectively within a variety of management levels, between the customer (Intel) and the contractors, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Effective at problem-solving, include problem-solving methodologies, research strategies, logical reasoning, critical analysis of information and cooperative learning
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills or teamwork abilities
