The Logistics & Contracts Site Manager leads and coordinates the activities of Haas personnel at the customer site(s) and/or 3PL location(s), ensures excellent service from tier II suppliers, oversees purchasing activities and responds to customer needs and issues. The Logistics & Contracts Site Manager is accountable for delivering program profitability while at the same time delighting the customer. Initial Primary responsibility is to coordinate all aspects for replenishment of bulk chemical and gas systems/products, as well as all chemical requirements as determined.

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a positive image for Haas with our customers, while demonstrating high standards of business ethics and integrity.
  • Ensures optimum performance of the Chemical Management Program by recommending and implementing actions to improve productivity, increase effectiveness and reduce costs.
  • Acts within the scope of authority and remains consistent with Haas objectives, guidelines, policies and practices.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability of Haas to provide value to the customer.
  • Develops solutions arising from emergency situations.
  • Determines appropriate inventory and service levels, plans or approves corrective action or process changes as required.
  • Responds to customer requests regarding products, projects, information and other inquiries.
  • Acts as site ISO coordinator.
  • Reviews monthly site financial information and takes or recommends appropriate action.
  • Insures all program reports are submitted correctly and in a timely manner to both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in monthly chemicals management meetings (or as required by customer)
  • Promote and ensure effective communication with Haas corporate personnel and with customer personnel.
  • Represents Operations on a system wide basis with the continual development of Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing Initiatives.
  • Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relationship at responsible sites being served by Haas.
  • Develops, trains, monitors and motivates a staff capable of delivering daily value, while playing a key role in meeting all Chemical Management Program Goals.
  • Keeps abreast of customer needs and practices affecting the Chemical Management Program and communicates pertinent information to the staff.
  • Coordinates activities related to projects requested by the customer or identified by Haas site staff members; maintains project list; assigns Haas personnel to projects.
  • Promotes and ensures effective communication and teamwork among staff and customers.
  • Promotes and assists in development of Tier II suppliers, oversees their technical activities and ensures they are meeting the needs of Haas and our customer.
  • Tracks employee absences, sick days, etc. and reports these to Human Resources.
  • Oversee and document operation and maintenance of site equipment and processes.
  • Manages responsible sites/work areas to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, DOT, and RCRA requirements.
  • Work effectively across the Supply Chain organization in a cost effective manner and with customers having varying standards and objectives. Identify and manage work process improvement projects and cost reduction efforts at Hubs and Customer sites.
  • Assist management of all Suppliers, contract carriers, 3PL subcontractors, warehouses and deliver systems required to support customer required activities.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain organization and customers in setting annual goals.
  • Education and Experience:

    Five years related work experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations and/or Logistics required. B.S. or Advanced degree and/or Chemical background/degree is desirable.

    Candidate must possess the ability to express ideas clearly, orally and in writing. Experience in managing a warehouse, JIT delivery systems, supply chain operations and purchasing/inventory control processes and procedures required. Experience in developing and implementing creative customer solutions a must. Knowledge of inventory management systems and computer software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) preferred. Nuclear experience a plus.


    Limited travel required.

    Authority/Freedom to Act:

    This is a self-starter position with minimum direction from Executive Management. Once annual goals are established the Site Manager is free to act in setting priorities and deploying resources with prescribed standards and practices.
