Come join our team as our Purchase Order Administrator at our Canonsburg, PA location. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
In general, this position will perform any administrative function in Operations and Construction with primary emphasis of processing purchase orders.
Receive and issue all purchase orders from Construction Project Managers.
Assign P.O.s as needed and maintain logs.
Ensure purchase orders are recorded, documented, reviewed, and supported in accordance with company policies and controls.
Ensures that purchase orders are processed timely and accurately.
Supporting the Financial team in Operations and Construction.
Understands the functionality of the purchase order and accounts payable accounting system.
Accurately enters purchase orders in various accounting and project management cost tracking systems.
Provide data entry for internal purchase order process including interaction with Construction Project Managers, Sr. Project Analyst, Contract Administration, and vendors and contractors.
Work with Project Managers to identify missing information, revisions to purchase orders, and to assist in resolving any issues.
Provide additional administrative support as assigned.
One or more years of applicable experience.
Excel skills are required.
Knowledge of Oracle a plus.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once.
Client service orientation.
Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
Basic data entry experience.
Requires sitting throughout most of the day working at a computer station, interspersed with short trips throughout the office as needed to file, print, etc. On occasion there will be outside office assignments that can involve walking around construction sites, industrial locations, field and/or wooded areas.
Generally working in an office environment, however, May require visiting and walking around some construction and industrial sites, farm properties, driving on rural roads, and other field locations, to acquire familiarity with facilities, properties and settings.
Materials and Equipment Used:
The materials and equipment used on a regular basis will be a personal computer, 10-key phone, fax, copier and map printer/plotter.
