Post by Jobing - DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. • Comply with all HIPAA guidelines according to TCC policies and procedures • Files paper reports and documents into patient charts • Scans paper documents into EMR • Files scanned documents into patients electronic charts • Prepare charts by pulling electronic schedules; gathering all testing, hospital, labs, and outside records for patient visit; • Ensure electronic chart has all appropriate documents scanned, verify accuracy of electronic record for patient visit. • Communicate with outside team members when lacking information in electronic record from the physician. • Medical releases • Inter–office correspondence • Process staff and patient incoming calls, faxes and inquiries • Maintain a professional and courteous environment • Maintain strict patient and employee confidentiality • Adhere to all policies and procedures • Attend monthly staff meetings • Perform other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Some knowledge of medical and/or cardiac terminology. Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, policy and procedure manuals. Ability to reason alphabetical filing.

Ability to write legibly. Ability to communicate effectively to patients, physicians and employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Logical Reasoning Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
