Description

The Video on Demand (VOD) team manages all aspects of the VOD service offering (films & episodical TV). Such areas include product experience definition and management, content strategy and acquisition, promotions, partner relationships and day to day business intelligence. The VOD team will be measured by customer retention, ARPU and using VOD content offerings to influence retail point of sale activities.

Specific tasks:
The VOD promotions manager will be expected to increase ARPU of the Video on Demand movie & TV service through merchandising, promotions and assisting the greater marketing team in driving overall buzz marketing campaigns where they related to the VOD service. This individual will be tasked to create the blueprint strategy for VOD promotions and work with internal and external partners to ensure execution occurs flawlessly. The promotions manager will be expected to constantly assess ROI of all marketing programs pertaining to the VOD service, while running multiple programs in parallel at any given time. Such programs may be executed through multiple channels (brick & mortar or internet retail partners, direct online campaigns, co-operative programs with external partners for example). This ideal candidate will be able to bring established or quickly build relationships with peers at partner companies within the content industry.

Qualifications

BS + 9 yrs. exp.; MS + 86yrs. exp.; PhD + 4 yrs. exp. in BA; Marketing, or equivalant degree.

8+ years of feature film and/or episodic television industry marketing, either at a content provider or content distributor.

Desired Skills

  • Proven marketing strategy planning and managing execution through agencies and internal partners. Ability to assess ROI of such programs.
  • Established network of marketing peers within the feature film and television content industry.
  • Experience in building marketing programs with consumer oriented products or devices.
  • Ability to work successfully across both content industry and technology industry cultures.
  • An expert in content consumption products and content distribution services.
