The Omni Providence is currently seeking a Group Sales Manager for
this 564 room hotel connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center.
The property is located in downtown Providence within walking
distance of many gourmet restaurants and historical attractions.
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for fully
developing the Association and Corporate Market Segments (both with
emphasis on Group production), especially for short-term and
higher-rated, less price-sensitive business, concentrating on the
solicitation of new profitable business.

The Ideal Candidate for this Position
Requirements: The ideal
candidate will have a Bachelor's
degree and a minimum of 3-5 years
in hotel Group Sales.
To merchandise as
skillfully as possible the guest rooms and function space to maximize
revenue potential for the hotel and to ensure that the customer has
the best possible meeting experience.
To achieve monthly
room night revenue goals, develop and implement sales action plans,
maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete
special projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing and
Director of Sales.
develop new accounts in line with the hotel's stated Mission
weekly telephone, site inspection and personal call goals.
Use all prospect
sources as laid out in the Time Management Section of the Sales
Follow up promptly
on leads generated by the National Sales offices, Third Parties and
other Omni Hotels.

and of the role they play in maintaining the profitability of the

Aware of all

Assist in the

monthly sales reports on a timely basis.
Maintain all files
with current trace dates, accurate histories and all relevant
information regarding booking activity.
Participate in the
ongoing forecasting process.
Is current and
abides by all sales office procedures and systems.
