Duties of this position include: the planning of fleet analysis, market product pricing and customer development. This position is required to provide rental counter training and supervision, supervision of outside sales as well as marketing and rental product line management. Specifically, the Branch Rental Manager will be held accountable for the following:
College degree or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of rental or sales experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office environment.
Ability to build and develop a team.
Deal comfortably with senior management.
High energy and self motivated with the ability to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously, thrive in a fast paced team environment and self direct.
Ability to get both verbal and written communication across that has the desired effect.
Characteristics include: goal oriented, drive for results, assertive, deals well with ambiguity.
Sales & Marketing
Coordinate sales and sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation through RSR/MT’s.
Responsible for executing the business unit's marketing plan.
Coordinate and maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database.
Maximize rate opportunities within the market place.
Maintain and expand relationships with existing customer base.
Grow overall Ryder market share by successfully executing the sales and marketing initiatives.
Successfully achieve the assigned branch revenue and assigned individual quota.
Develop leads through telephone solicitation and customer visits.
Operations & Asset Mgmt
Responsible for overall profitability, operations and asset management of a rental location(s).
Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies.
Complete understanding of marketplace conditions in order to maximize utilization of the rental fleet.
Ability to maximize operational effectiveness by coordinating overall inventory levels to meet customer demand.
Accountable for coordinating with Maintenance, Asset management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsible for contractual customer growth at the required level set in the individual sales quota.
Recognize and react quickly to market opportunities.
Build constructive and effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
Communicate effectively across all functions.
Maintain composure when addressing stressful situations.
Clearly articulate Ryder’s product and service offerings.
Responsible for overall profitability of the rental product line specifically achieving both revenue and margin plans for the assigned branches.
Ability to forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results accurately and timely.
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting performance through multiple financial reports and metrics.
Ability to manage relationships and build effective teams.
Responsible for the overall development and guidance of employees to meet revenue and margin goals.
Understands the importance of responsibility, accountability and commitment.
Ability to effectively manage processes and drive results.
