To assure the meaningful and timely flow of donated and new goods from the donation center and loading/receiving dock through the production area to the shipping area, stock room, or sales floor.
To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of Goodwill Industries.
To establish positive relationships with clients and associates to successfully implement Goodwill’s mission services.
To greet customers and donors upon entering the store.
To physically handle processed and unprocessed goods in and out of the production area by hand, machine, or mechanical device or container.
To load and unload trucks from the distribution center.
To unload donated or purchased goods from donor’s cars or trucks.
To process donated or new goods to assure quality control and supervise work cells to meet or exceed daily production goals.
To organize, inventory, and count processed and unprocessed goods for store orders or seasonal change.
To sort, label, and process goods for recycling.
To be certified in the operation of a forklift and trained to operate a baler.
To maintain confidentiality of all records and files concerning the position.
To maintain adequacy, accuracy and punctuality of reports and records.
To cross-train in all aspects of retail management for career growth development.
To coordinate with management the training of clients within Goodwill.
To assure all store orders are being filled on a timely schedule.
To conduct quality control checks on all store orders leaving the warehouse.
To perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned.
To work with the entire store team to maximize growth of the location.
To help coordinate sales promotions and activities.
To be able to perform other management duties such as deposits, taking deposit to the bank and opening and closing duties of the retail facility as well as being up to date with all POS functions.
To help store management cross train associates in all aspects of production and retail needs.
REQUIREMENTS : Prefer High School Diploma. Requires functional reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Previous production experience preferred. Must have valid and current SC Driver’s License with limited points for violations.
