      Description
      Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Website Designer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC at USPS HQ.

      Where Technology and Teamwork come together...Come join the Northrop Grumman team supporting the USPS. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's USPS ETS team.

      Shall perform the following duties in support of the USPS customer:

      The contractor wil be implementing a new design for Blue, the world’s largest intranet, LiteBlue, the USPS extranet, parts of usps.com and KeepingPosted.org, the USPS retiree website. The contractor will also follow guidelines, processes and testing procedures for creating or retrofitting web pages to make them Section 508 compliant.

      Performs end-to-end internet/intranet/extranet development and implementation. These individuals will be expected to work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.

      Duties and Responsibilities
      · Develop internet/intranet/extranet applications to present USPS to employees and the outside world and to provide USPS easy access to other Internet services — USPS.com (internet); Blue (intranet); LiteBlue.usps.gov (extranet) and KeepingPosted.org (internet).
      · Expertise in the accessibility compliance standards of Section 508 Amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
      · Implement interfaces to allow outside users and employees to access USPS databases and other information sources.
      · Evaluate firewalls and other internet access tools.
      · Implements evaluated tools and topologies as directed.
      · Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
      Note: This includes content architecture — including layout, navigation design, HTML coding, graphics, and content update.
      Qualifications
      Basic Requirements:
      This job requires the following skills set:
      · Bachelors Degree and 5 years exp. 9 years of work related experience in lieu of degree.
      · Website design experience coding in HTML.
      · Individual must be a self starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and capable of providing concise progress reports of all projects if needed.
      · Proficiency with coding in HTML.
      · Experience with Interwoven TeamSite for the purposes of content management.
      · Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
      · Open attitude for taking creative direction.
      · Proven ability to effectively carry out multi-task operations/projects.
      · Proofreading skills.
      · Proficiency with the following software:
      · Adobe FrameMaker
      · Adobe Image Ready
      · Dreamweaver
      · Macromedia
      · Photoshop
      · Webot
      · Webworks
      · Expertise in the accessibility compliance standards of Section 508 of the Workforce Investment Act.
