Duties: Under the direction of the Billing Manager is responsible for assisting with charge entry, cash posting, claim filing, denial follow up, patient demographic entry and insurance entry, responding to correspondence in a timely manner, assisting patients with questions in regards to their account, and completing pre-collection steps. Primary duties include the maintenance and billing of accounts receivable, post all transactions or charges, and prepare refunds.
Experience: T wo years previous work experience in a physician office, knowledge of medical terminology, physician office billing, and working with electronic billing and medical record systems.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
