Basic Job Functions:|
This position will provide direct wound and ostomy care to clients;
assist staff nurses in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating wound and ostomy care to ensure quality client care is provided and
will provide wound and ostomy care education to staff, clients, referral sources, and community.
Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge normally attained through a high school education and graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Requires current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas, must maintain current license status.
Graduation from an accredited school of ostomal therapy nurse education program required.
Valid current certification in wound care through WOCN or AAWC preferred.
Requires a minimum of one year successful experience as a home health nurse or equivalent experience.
Requires ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly and accurately.
Requires minimum of two years prior successful experience as a Registered Nurse
