Divisional Director (VP) Major Projects $billion+
Globally (Canada, USA, South America, Australia, Africa)
$350K - $550K + bonus & Package
We have been retained by a major mining owner/operator business, which due to internal promotion, are looking for a Divisional Director Major Projects.
The role will be taking responsibility for the major project business (project size $500million - $10billion+) on a global business, providing senior leadership across a broad portfolio of projects and responsibility for a team of Major Projects Directors. There will be a range of Greenfield & Brownfield sites including open pit and underground mines. The majority will be for base & precious metals. (Iron, Copper, Gold, Silver)
You would hold P&L responsibility for the unit and take full responsibility for day to day operations and delivery of successful, on time and profitable projects.
Some of the key elements of the role include;
Managing Global Project Team including Project Director, Construction Managers etc.
Manage relationships with EPCM contractors
Take responsibility for pipeline of projects making sure adequate resource.
Monthly report to board on business unit
Responsible for staffing, training and development within unit
Take responsibility for feasibility of projects, costing and tender process
The ideal candidate will;
Successful track record of delivering major projects within Mining ($1billion +)
Have experience in managing multi-major projects simultaneously.
Worked in a leadership role or be willing to take next step in career.
Strong background within mining (15years+)
Be able to manage relationships with EPCM business at a strategic level.
Confident to be able to deal with key stakeholders with business
Ensure health & safety is a priority at all times.
