Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for promoting and marketing Harvard
Pilgrim's brand, products and services through the development and execution of events, sponsorships and programs in
all targeted segments and regions and through all channels These initiatives must be consistent and in support of
Harvard Pilgrim's strategic goals and objectives, and help support membership growth and retention. Initiatives need
to generate awareness and deliver reach to the target audience.
Identifies, develops and implements new and existing programs to promote targeted constituents including
employers, members, prospects, brokers and the general public/consumers.
Works with closely with Sales Directors in prioritizing initiatives that support Sales.
Works closely with Center for Inclusion Initiatves by planning and implementing select events or act as expert in
consulting when appropriate, as well as other support, when necessary.
Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with outside vendors which may include production and
Evaluates and recommends sponsorship requests through in-depth guideline, evaluation and recommendation
Coordinates and designs customized program ads for Sales, Marketing, Civic Engagement Committee initiatives,
Center for Inclusion Initiatives, and Harvard Pilgrim Foundation
Plans and implements internal coiporate events, meetings and programs.
Determines, manages and tracks budget for each program.
Represents Harvard Pilgrim in multiple external and internal venues. May speak on behalf of the organization at
Coordinates all associated promotional materials and program processes including advertising displays, collateral,
Press opportunities, and promotional items, as well as evaluations and ROI. Ensures brand integrity through all
event and program variables.
Provides onsite logistical management of large scale events and manages all associated vendors.
Coordinates and plans agendas for senior management participants and provides onsite support and guidance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5-7 year's client or agency marketing/ promotion experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced
environment with tight deadlines. Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong
project management skills essential
Budgetary experience required, as well as Microsoft OftlceQuarkXPress, Illustrator,
