Establish short- and long-term category objectives and strategy, over rolling three-year period Deep and current understanding of IT and outsourcing supply markets and leverage Procurement methodologies to drive category strategy Align with business leaders on their needs and ensure category strategy supports business needs Responsible for managing spend of up to $250M for assigned complex category(s) Lead Category Council meetings for assigned category & gain alignment on category strategy & savings Accountable for setting & delivering category savings targets and objectives Interact with senior leaders on regular basis to ensure buy in and full understanding of category strategy Manage global &/or large scale category supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, negotiations, etc. Assess and manage supply risk Ensure supplier relationship management is coordinated on an enterprise level Accountable for continuous quality and service from suppliers to support efficient business operations Align resources to meet business needs, ensure the team understands the global strategy and works toward cohesive, cost-saving agreements Responsible for contract framework and proposed contractual agreements and ensure valid contracts are in place Accountable for sound contract management and drive continuous value out of the contract Manage internal/external stakeholder KPIs for enterprise category Other duties as assigned
      Qualifications
      Required:
      • Ten or more years broad-based experience across IT, with particular focus in purchasing, large scale outsourcing deals, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance
      • Demonstrated ability to build global relationships / partnerships (internal and external), including virtually
      • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change globally
      • Ability to translate big picture into implementation
      • Ability to effectively lead through influence, mentor, develop, grow and evaluate group or staff
      • Effective written and oral communication with all organizational levels up to and including senior level executives
      • Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
      Preferred:
      • Relevant category experience
      • Strong understanding of the financial services industry is desirable
      • Understanding of and experience in contract law and applicable legislation
