Job Summary:

The Technician, under limited supervision, performs a variety of tasks in the repair station. This individual shall be responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair support, including basic and routine electromechanical assembly operations on components or sub-assemblies. Uses visual aids and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and rework electronic assemblies
  • Assemble and test cables and harnesses
  • Perform troubleshooting on electronic assemblies using common tools
  • Works within established internal control procedures
  • Ensures work is in compliance with the performance specifications

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
  • Ideally 2 years experience as engineering lab technician, assemble/repair line tech or related professional experience
  • Excellent PCB soldering skills, including fine pitch SMT using lead-free processes
  • Capable of building cables and other electromechanical assemblies
  • Broad knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components
  • Skilled in use of lab instruments
  • Basic knowledge of software operating systems, such as Windows and Ubuntu, are a plus
  • AA degree in electronics or related field is desired (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education)
