We are now looking to add a Part-time Audio Engineer to our exceptional staff.

The World Cafe Live Audio Engineer is responsible for audio production. He/she is charged with oversight of all technical areas related to audio production. Working closely with the producer and entertainers, the Audio Engineer mixes sound quality and volume to optimize entertainment performances. He/she tests, troubleshoots, and performs basic repairs as required. The ideal Audio Engineer has 2 to 4 years experience in venues ranging from 200 to 1200 and is ready, willing, and able to hit the ground running. A representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this part-time position is as follows:

-- Confer with producers, performers, and others to determine and achieve the desired sound for a production
-- Set up, test, and adjust equipment for live performances; tear down equipment after event
-- Regulate volume level and sound quality during performances, using control consoles.
-- Prepare for performances by conducting set-up and test activities
-- Mix/edit/adjust voices, music, and taped sound effects for live performances using analog and digital sound mixing boards.
-- Synchronize and equalize pre-recorded dialogue, music, and sound effects with visual action of motion pictures, television productions, or special-effects lighting, as required
-- Make basic repairs of equipment, cabling, and/or other accessories as needed
