In this position, you will manage technical development of customer accounts for a particular vertical target market. You will help attain aggressive sales goals by working directly with your Sales Director.
Reports To: Sales Director
Responsibilities:
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
Investigate and understand customer “pain points” and focus message to explain how we can address these specific issues
Travel to visit potential and existing clients in order to establish new, and maintain existing, long-term relationships with customers
Gather detailed information on customer requirements, providing feedback to engineering for future product enhancements where necessary
Make technical presentations and demonstrate how we will address customer requirements
Prepare and submit detailed field reports for further analysis of customer needs and potential size of opportunity
Work with Sales Directors and leverage all other available resources to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets
Support marketing team by attending and/or presenting at trade shows, seminars, conferences, and other marketing events
Work with Ixia BreakingPoint Support team to provide after-sale support services
Work with other sales teams to leverage opportunities across organizations and regions
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5-7 years of technical sales experience within IT security, networking equipment or network test environment
Proven track record in meeting sales goals while developing and maintaining good customer relationships
Required Skills:
Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations
Ability to respond to RFI and RFP requests, coordinating with appropriate corporate resources. Working knowledge of network test equipment and applications
Working knowledge of network and security exploits, vulnerabilities, and hacking techniques
Professional appearance and the ability to provide a positive company image
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Work requires significant travel to current and potential customers
Experience with Ixia, Spirent, Mu Security, Shenick, and/or HP LoadRunner products, preferred
