We currently have an opening for a Nursing Supervisor.
Responsible for development and oversight of the training and crossing-training of support staff; staff workload distribution and maximizing the productivity of support staff.
Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff to maintain effective staffing levels that will maintain department operations as required.
Coordinates and ensures complete orientation of new office employees
Reviews and analyzes financial reports and summaries, including budget preparation. Prepares reports on various data for the Department of Nursing to assist nursing leadership in expense management.
Prepares Purchase Orders, payment requests, and other paperwork for payments. Reconciles monthly statements from multiple hospital departments and external accounts.
Coordinates and administers business office activities and services provided to the department of nursing, such as mail, security, telephones, and supplies.
Coordinates and maintains agency nursing contracts. Reviews all agency nursing invoices and prepares payment vouchers in collaboration with Director of Business Operations.
Coordinates the contract administration for service agreements for the department of nursing in collaboration with contracting and the director of business operations.
Coordinates the nursing licensure information for the Department of Nursing and other departments that have nurses; compiles reports and effective tracking methodology to communicate with nursing leadership.
Develops and implements processes and tracking methods for centralized functions of the department of nursing, and tracks expenses; such as parking expense, contract labor, Kronos licenses, and other centralized expense for the cost center.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Kansas RN license
- 3 years of oncology/hematology experience; knowledge of oncology nursing standards of care
- Working knowledge of JCAHO, OSHA guidelines
- OCN certification preferred.
- Ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Must have an American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
