The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for oversight of the UMHHC?s reimbursement department, as well as a key advisory role within the UMHS. Key responsibilities include:

- Financial reporting including third party accounting for net revenue and estimated settlements
- Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross cost reports, settlements, audits and appeals
- Analysis of new regulations, payment methods and contractual arrangements
- Participating in and supporting UMHS initiatives and programs where revenue/reimbursement
- Working closely with others in finance leadership to develop and prioritize goals for UMHS

- Providing supervision and mentorship to reimbursement department staff
- Developing the reimbursement team and able to demonstrate success in a team focused
Experience: Requires five to ten (5-10) years of progressive experience in healthcare financial management and at least five (5) years of experience in hospital reimbursement.
Education: Requires a Bachelor's preferably in Finance or Accounting, business management or a related field. Master's degree or CPA is desirable. Desired Qualifications*
Desired characteristics include strong problem solving and analytics, effective communication and presentation skills, excellent teamwork and customer service orientation. In addition the candidate should possess strong knowledge of health care finance, accounting and third party reimbursement and payment methodologies.
