The Lab Coordinator position is responsible for all aspects of the Drug Testing Lab that provides the drug screening services to Shelby County Community Corrections. The primary responsibility of the position is to develop, implement and enforce lab policies and procedures that strictly adhere to drug-testing protocol and chain of custody requirements. The coordinator must be comfortable in the offender drug-testing environment, confident in their skills and abilities to provide the proper leadership, possess high level of integrity to maintain standard laboratory operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business or closely related field.
-Two years of professional nursing/lab experience, preferably in urine drug testing for the Court system, including one year of supervisory or administrative experience

OR

-Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or diploma in Nursing
-Six years of professional nursing/lab experience, preferably in urine drug testing for the Court system, including one year of supervisory or administrative experience

Other Important Requirements and Information:

Lab Experience preferred.
