A Corporate housekeeper is responsible for the completion of a variety of housekeeping tasks within the Corporate Offices facilities.
Performs a wide variety of housekeeping functions such as daily and routine cleaning of offices, breakrooms, conference rooms and restrooms.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
On a daily basis, performs a wide variety of routine cleaning tasks such as floor mopping, wall cleaning, dusting, cleaning of sinks, toilets, and countertops, vacuuming, and window washing.
Participates, as assigned, in Project Housecleaning.
This could include stripping and waxing of hard floors, shampooing of carpets,
scrubbing and topcoating of hard floors, buffing and burnishing of hard floors, wall washing, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, etc.
Follows a written housekeeping routine which outlines the daily cleaning requirements within an assigned area.
Reports, to the Housekeeping Supervisor, anything that needs the attention of the Maintenance department.
Reads and follows all label directions of all cleaning products that are used.
Cleans and maintains all housekeeping equipment.
Reports, to the Housekeeping Supervisor, anything that may require additional attention or Project Housecleaning.
Restocks paper and other supplies in assigned areas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Requires the ability to read and write at a level normally acquired through the completion of grade school.
Ability to read and write is essential.
Requires familiarity with general principles of housekeeping, housekeeping procedures, and housekeeping materials.
Requires one to three months of on the job experience necessary in order to gain a full understanding of housekeeping work.
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate, in both verbal and written forms, with all Corporate personnel, the Sisters, and visitors in determining problems or needs.
Requires a pleasing personality and a positive attitude.
