In this exciting role you work directly with the North America Continent Manager, Expansion Manager, Sales Controller, Leasing, Store Planning, Construction, Visual, Regional and District Sales teams to create the most commercial store layouts, for both new stores and rebuilds. Travel plays a big part as we are expanding to new markets within the US and Mexico. Responsibilities include traveling to new sites and rebuilds, planning a space through a scribble, seeing a project through to completion and performing a sales follow up. You will work proactively with lease managers, store planners and external architects, managing project timelines to ensure they are delivered with high quality and on time.

Overall Job Function :

Supports the North America Expansion goal by creating the most commercial store layouts.

Primary function is space planning: to optimize concept flow and space efficiency by traveling to new sites and existing stores, analyzing and planning the space, seeing a project through to completion and performing a sales follow up. Works closely with the North America Continent Manager, Expansion Manager, Sales Controller, Leasing, Store Planning, Construction, Visual, Regional and District Sales teams to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and on time.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Creating commercial store layouts

- Partners with Regional Real Estate Managers to select the most optimal space.

- Optimizes space efficiency, placement of entrances, vertical transportation, concept mix, department size, concept flow, fitting rooms, cash points, etc.

- Creates a scribble to plan a strong commercial store. Analyzes the space and presents the recommended plan at the weekly layout meeting with the Country Manager, Expansion manager, Store Development Manager and Store Planner Manager.

- Ensures store design adheres to global guidelines and North America commercial goals.

- Coordinates design drawings and revisions from store planning team.

- Ensures all teams review and discuss new layout, adhering to time plan.

- Follows up on completed projects and identifies learnings and improvement areas.

Coordination with internal and external teams

- Assists the real estate department in space analysis.

- Manages project process and schedule of store design through construction phase.

- Works with construction project managers so construction documents are consistent with the latest IPS drawings, global interior guidelines and local building codes.

- Establishes and maintains outstanding communication with expansion/construction, real estate, visual and operations teams.

- Ensures that the project is correctly documented in IPS.

- Maintains good records of all correspondence related to assigned projects

- Prepares and coordinates design of the back of house plans with consultants.

- Completes site visits of new and existing locations.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Interior Design, Consumer Behavior or related field.

- 3-5 years of retail experience, preferably within store operations, as a merchandiser or in space planning and analysis.

Competencies:

- Strong project management skills, with proven experience in handling multiple projects at one time.

- Strong communication skills; confidence in communicating across all levels of management.

- Proactive self-starter that operates with little supervision and takes ownership.

- Solution and goal-oriented with commitment to deliver strong results.

- Demonstrates a high degree of personal dedication to providing thorough, top-quality work with maximum productivity while working well with others and actively contributing to a positive work environment.

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, mainly Canada, Sweden and Mexico, 15-20%
