Work with Logistic IT systems team (responsible for distribution and transportation) to gather requirements from the user community and work with a development team and testing team to implement those requirements.
Participate in software development lifecycle, getting exposure to the various phases of that lifecycle. This role will get exposure to the roles of business analyst, test engineer and software engineer.
Potential to do software development with the right skill-set.
This assignment could be extended past the summer on a part time basis.
Highly motivated with good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
Experience with requirements gathering and software development is desirable.
Ability to understand and communicate basic software development lifecycle terms.
Ability to work full time during the summer and if possible part time (approx. 15-20 hours/week) during the school year.
Independent worker who can also function well in a team environment.
Technical skills: knowledge of software development (Java, C, C++ preferred), knowledge of SQL
Minimum GPA of 3.0
