The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications position is an exciting opportunity for a unique and talented leader with a proven track record of excellence in media relations and corporate communications to join a dynamic and fast-paced organization. While working in close coordination with the Director, the senior manager will aid in the Company’s external corporate communications and media relations function, conference coordination, as well as some of the publicity efforts and PR agencies for select IAC businesses.

The successful candidate must be strategic and detail-oriented and have the ability to manage across all levels of the organization, including executive management, and to thrive under deadlines and time-sensitive demands. This person must be highly skilled and confident in communicating with internal and external audiences around earnings results; managing and maintaining relationships with key business and entertainment media at major outlets and trades, and employees of all levels; as well as a solid understanding of the Internet and media industries. This candidate should also be well-rounded in communications with experience at the corporate, B-to-B and consumer levels and be flexible to work across these areas simultaneously at any given time.

Manage the external communications strategy and execution while working closely with the Director, and senior management of IAC and the various brands.

Proactively manage the communication of quarterly earnings results to employees and media in coordination with Investor Relations and senior management.

Manage and maintain exceptional relationships with key business and trade media, as well as key industry influencers and bloggers and be able to clearly and persuasively articulate the priorities, strategies, and value of IAC and its brands to these audiences.

Provide leadership in the planning and implementation of communications strategies and tactics; to ensure that the corporation’s external communications serve to advance business goals and objectives.

Help develop and implement strategic communications plans (both at the business and consumer level) for various IAC brands as needed.

Write, edit and serve as central point for communications materials, working with our brands, to ensure accuracy and conformance to legal and other requirements.

Identify issues and opportunities for the company to be “in front of,” and cultivate the company’s executives as spokespersons on these topics.

A bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field.

5+ years of experience as a public relations or strategic communications professional. Agency experience preferred.

Demonstrated success in working with trade media and bloggers.

Ability to interact with, brief and act as an advisor to senior level management, both at IAC and its brands.

Experience evaluating external speaking opportunities and managing a senior level speaker’s bureau.

Ability to represent IAC externally to media, influencers, bloggers and at relevant industry events.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills a must.

Analytical, business-savvy, strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver against overall business objectives.

Must be a creative self-starter who can prioritize effectively, manage his/her time efficiently and excel in a fast-paced and dynamic media and Internet environment.
