Hospital Coding/Revenue Cycle Consultant

Wipfli, LLP has an immediate need for a Hospital Coding/Revenue Cycle Consultant. The consultant will have deep experience in CPT, HCPCS, APC and ICD-9 and 10 coding and documentation. In addition, the successful candidate will have recent hospital revenue cycle process experience, and expertise to provide actionable, measurable recommendations for improvement. The consultant will participate in the planning and development of the firm’s revenue cycle assessment services that primarily support rural and community hospitals.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide coding analysis to hospital and health system clients for assessing the overall effectiveness of their coding systems.

Prepare and present reports to clients

Present educational sessions on coding to potential and existing clients, and Wipfli staff.

Conduct hospital revenue cycle analyses to identify risks, improve processes and revenues.

Participate in CDM assessments for optimizing accurate CDM utilization.

Sell coding and reimbursement services to current and new clients.

Maintain a high level of knowledge of Medicare guidelines, other payer rules, and coding changes.

Prepare articles for publication and speak at industry conferences to bring awareness of our services.

Essential Qualifications:
At minimum, an Associate Degree in business or health related field

CPC-H Coding Certification required, with ICD-10 certification; RHIT or RHIA preferred.
