Part-Time Telephone Sales Representative, M&T Bank

Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm

Respond to customer inquiries utilizing basic sale techniques to recommend, sell and cross sell bank products and services as appropriate. Follow-up with customers on all pending and approved sales. schedule closings, communicate with branch and customer appropriate details. Must adhere to the requirements of federal registration under the SAFE Act.
Responsible for the selling and cross-selling of Bank products and services.
Recommend and sell appropriate solution(s) to fit customers immediate and future financial needs.
Manage daily/weekly reports to promote expedient and thorough customer follow-up.
Communicate with respective branch to ensure all details of loan closing process are attended to.
Attend all training and sales meetings to keep abreast of updates/changes or enhancements to products, policies and procedures.
Meet monthly sales quota (nine out of twelve months), attend monthly sales meetings and coaching sessions to assist in the development of sales technique.
Responsible for retaining business by offering appropriate alternatives to fit customers immediate and future financial needs.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associate’s degree or in lieu of degree, two years equivalent work experience.
Minimum two years customer service, retail or banking experience.
Ability to navigate through Intranet.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
Self-motivated, well organized individual.
Ability to be concise and to the point in explanation to customers.
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
One or more years sales experience.
Knowledge of operating systems utilized by department (PACE/CSW/Deposit Database/Outlook).
Strong telephone sales ability.
