PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to facilitate the operations of the Full-Time Programs Recruitment Office through efficient management of resources, excellent customer service and effective coordination with internal and external constituents. DUTIES: Manage the office reception desk, including general inquiry response, walk-ins, phone calls, faxes, emails and accurate record keeping; coordinate and conduct prospective student tours, class visits, interviews and meetings; process general inquiry and applicant information, including data-entry, coordination of document flow, data maintenance, and application system advising and support for applicants; support the operations of the office, including ordering of supplies and promotional materials, submitting expense reports, keeping inventory, prudent management of expenses and other duties; coordinate logistical arrangements for the department, including recruiter travel support, mailing materials, payments and deadlines for fairs and recruiting tours and other related activities; coordinate events for the department, including arrangements for open houses, catering, room set-up, announcements, invitations and follow-up; generate and maintain accurate and up-to-date comparative reports in support of departmental targets and goals; generate other reports as directed; assist with research projects as directed; represent the School at graduate fairs, open houses and events; uphold the University mission through work performed; and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree required; three years of work experience in office administration, bookkeeping or related field required; excellent written and verbal communication skills required; strong professional and interpersonal skills required; ability to take initiative, multi-task and work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment required; highly organized and very detail-oriented work style required; strong computer skills required; proficiency in MS Office, database and social networking applications required; Bachelor's degree in business or communications preferred; experience in customer service, sales, accounting or research, or combination of these preferred; working knowledge and understanding of the nuances of marketing graduate education preferred; a highly professional, polite and diplomatic approach to customer relations and to the work environment preferred; experience in public speaking preferred; advanced skills in data management and data analysis preferred; good research skills preferred. Ability to work evenings, weekends as needed and stand for long periods of time.
