The ideal project lead is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. In conjunction with the Project Manager, he/she leads the Production Support & Enhancement team to ensure quality work is delivered on time, on budget, meeting business needs This person would be responsible for successful delivery and implementation of multiple small/medium enhancement projects or phases of larger projects within or across business functional areas related to Finance Systems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership on strategies, business case documents and project plans
Work with sponsors and business partners to set and manage priorities
Lead and drive all phases of the production support release lifecycle
Train, mentor and support business analysts on the team
Apply project management principles to ensure goals, budget and timelines are met
Evaluate and approve requirements and business process documents to ensure they are thorough, testable and support the overall business strategy
Work with IT leadership and others to ensure releases stay on time, on budget and delivers key functionality
Support systems in production and new development work by overseeing coordination and knowledge transfer between cross functional production and development teams
Ensure issues are communicated, managed and resolved considering priority and customer impact
Identify and analyze patterns and gaps for work effort at a strategic level
Oversee the analysis of new release impacts to business process or systems and manage to a successful outcome
Partner and foster collaboration with IT, business and internal teams
Plan and track resources and assignments
Determine, monitor and measure service level agreements including taking on the lead in Recovery situations
Oversee and coordinate outages (develop hour by hour schedule/checklist)
Determine and develop process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a business analyst
Knowledge and experience with Finance & Corporate Center processes, systems and reporting (Oracle Financial systems experience preferred).
Solid knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
Proficient in writing business requirements and process documentation
Ability to collaborate with peers and senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach
Demonstrated ability to influence beyond the scope of his/her position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently with end users
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Visio and SharePoint
